Our Sessions
Each week we make sure that we are as professional as possible as a club.
All lessons are structured and are delivered to our highest standards.
The sessions we coach includes an intense warm up in order for the player to be fully ready for the session, a 30 minute activity on a specific shot/technique and then 45 minutes' worth of games and matches incorporating the specific shot/technique for that session.
The sessions are on a Wednesday evenings at Teign School sports hall.
Sessions are from 18:30 - 20:00.
Our sessions cost £4.50 per lesson with a preferred up-front payment for the term which will bring the cost down to £3.50 per session.
However the first time you attend a session it is FREE of charge as a taster lesson.
All of our coaches are voluntary and all the money goes towards the hire of the venue and the cost of new equipment such as new rackets but more often than not, new shuttles!

End of season tournament
Every year at the end of the season we have an end of year tournament.
This tournament takes place over a number of weeks and is now separated into the 2 groups.
These groups are split into ability/age. With there being a separate tournament for the Older and Younger players.
In both sets of Tournaments players are ranked in ability and given a handicap as a result.
This means that every game is competitive and will give a better chance to the weaker players to make it through the group stages to the finals.

The tournament was originally played in one large group in years 2012 to 2014 but after realising the younger players were lacking the opportunity to reach the final we decided to split the tournament into 2 separate groups.
Thus giving the chance to younger players to also win the tournament and trophy.
